Lessee - Did the UN 'work' in Korea?
Ah, the "yes-but" Russia was boycotting when it did.
Well, does the US hamstring UN actions in any way? Like the UN inspections in Iraq?
And why is the US begging the UN to bail out the US in Iraq if the UN is so ineffectual? After telling the world in no uncertain terms the US could do it alone?
Remember that? The US would do it alone if the UN wouldn't approve of the US timetables. All alone, with the "Coalition of the bribed". (Billions and billions spent there!!)
And now Cheney/bush want people from countries who sought by other means to disarm the disarmed to go die. And the UN is resisting that.
When the US regards itself as a member of a community, instead of seeking rubber-stamp approval of all it's actions, maybe the UN can do a better job.
