Exterminating over 6 million people because they were inferior to his Aryan magnificence*

The actual number of people murdered in the Holocaust has been estimated at from 11-13 million. Approximately 6 million of them were Jews, but they were far from his only victims. He also worked to exterminate the Gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses, and anyone who dared stand against him. He imprisoned untold numbers of homosexuals** in his concentration camps, forcing them to wear a pink triangle on their shirts as opposed to the yellow star for Jews. Many of them died in captivity. I'm not certain, but I think most of the other victims of the Holocaust were Slavs from the occupied territories.

*The Aryan myth is funny, especially as it relates to Hitler. It idolized the tall, blond haired, blue eyed German as the perfect, superior race. Hitler was none of those things. He wasn't tall, had dark hair and eyes, and was born in Austria.

**In a way, it's ironic that Hitler had such hatred for homosexuals. He might never have risen to power in 1933 had it not been for the support of the SA (the Brown Shirts), a group with several homosexuals at the top. When the SA was seen as a threat, Hitler had most of the leadership wiped out in the "Night of Long Knives." Hitler may have barely tolerated homosexuals when they helped him, but he surely hated and killed them when he no longer needed them.
