Why would I say something that obviously isn't true?

After all, I'm not a Democrat.

By definition, a veteran is someone who has served in the military. That includes the National Guard and Reserve. Bush is a veteran. So am I.

A "combat veteran" is someone who saw combat. Kerry is a combat vet. Bush isn't. Neither am I, nor was Tom Harkin (despite lies to the contrary).
