hold on there, sparky

Can you explain how the ICC counts itself as credible when they not only use this language, but use seriously:

"94.5% of ICC States Parties Are Free or Partly Free"

I understand that the name 'partly free' is not an innovation of the ICC, that it was F.H. that came up with it to try to rank countries based on adherence to principles commonly seen as defining 'freedom' , but that 30% of the parties signing on to the ICC can not earn a "Free" rating, then why do you think that the ICC is anything more than where dictators can go to try to earn legitamacy?

Indeed, that the ICC has "only 5 not free " signitories out of roughly 100 is is telling. That means 5% of the ICC are bloodthirsty tyrants.

I am all for a an International Criminal Court- one that can hold US Citizens and US politicians as accountable as ANY other group, but the support of international criminal states of a particular International Criminal Court should give all of us pause.

I am not moved that the US has not signed onto THIS International Criminal Court notion, I AM moved, however, that our leadership expresses in general antipathy to the entire concept. Thats a criticism that can be made and made well.
