I didn't say anything about overwelming the gene pool. I'm talking about creating a new and separate gene pool. To try and correct Hss's genome would be far too difficult. Starting over from scratch with a clean slate is what I have in mind.

As for natural selection being a great provider of progress, I disagree. It's nothing but a mindless process. There is no genius in nature.
