That is what we did when I was a kid. I grew up in the Jewish side of Houston. Most of my friends were Jewish or African American. We sang traditional Christmas songs like “Here comes Santa Clause†and “Jingle Bells.†I remember it well because I had to sing it in front of the whole school.
It was interesting that the Jewish and Christian kids got along fine. My best friend was Jewish. We were curious about each other’s religion, but we were never hostile about it- just curious.
