The bee swarm analogy

Not bad but I keep thinking, sure it is stupid to poke the hive with a stick but what if the bees keep stinging in spite of leaving them alone. Any way you look at it it's worth a try.

Perhaps and I suspect we will, eventually be of one mind (99% there will always be holdouts) on this issue. If we do not become of one mind I guess it will still be okay since that will mean that the problem is not critical. Like now, the problem is worrisome but not critical at this moment.

I'm not personally planning to poke any hives but I did have to remove a beehive in my backyard last year. I inquired on getting them professionally removed and found that there are no friendly bee keepers that come and take them away, only exterminators and they were prohibitively expensive. Not knowing how to go about it, I started out slow but quickly caught on to it and soon the bees were gone.

It swings on whether the particular type of bee can be domesticated and if they are satisfied with being left alone.

In the case of my backyard bees they insisted on damaging my garage and stinging my grandchildren. The stinging was based on proximity and not poking with a stick

I hope it works out okay. I don't relish the idea of a world where we all agree that we are better off without bees. Better we breed the sting out of them or leave them to their privacy.

I have to say that I fear the mutual privacy idea is an unlikely long term solution.
