And that's a good thing...
As a liberal Democrat, I can only wish my party and its captive mainstream media were as clever and skilled as you seem to think they are; especially when faced with a Republican majority in Congress and the White House and a consistent message from right wing radio, bloggers and the evangelical pulpit.
From my point of view, they are undisciplined, politically bumbling, inept at public relations, split into factions and incapable of agreeing on anything, much less coordinating any singular plan of action.
