We don't know for sure and action has some undeniable negative consequences so let's not do anything. It's bullshit from the left and it's bullshit from the right. When the consequences of inaction are potentially grave and far more grave than the consequences of action you often have to reach a decision based on incomplete information. People do this every day in the real world especially businesses even though most people don't think about probability in clear terms. They go with what their gut feel of the best avenue to reach a favorable outcome is even if it has potential negative consequences. If you were gauranteed to make money on every investemnt no business would ever fail. Leaders have to make judgement calls and it's just plain wrong to act like someone is a criminal for making one on a basis that after the fact was proven wrong when few doubted it at the time including his predecessor from the opposing party.
