Yuk.
Ice storms. My worst fear up here. Heard from the power guys that ice storms pose the worst problems and are harder working conditions. I don't envy you.
I'm going to get a small electric generator from Sam's Club this weekend, battery operated and you can recharge the battery with your vehicle, if need be. About $40, will run small appliances, including electric blankets...LOL Comes with radio and flashlight. Extra batteries $10. Have no idea how noisy they are. Have to be better than my BIG gasoline generator sitting out on the back porch. Neighbours would kill me if I had to use that one.
Hope you have a back up portable gas heater. About $70 from Home Depot. Small canisters of gas for it..........4 for $20. Load up.
And good luck.
