there is nothing about radioactivity or its use that requires putting it quotes. Nor in the use of:
• made
• radioactive
• shrapnel
• greenhous gases
• radiated
• spent nuclear fuel
• smart
• escape
• force
• proven
• future
Thats just a subset of the words you have scare qouted here.
Look, we all know what you are doing with this, and it just makes you look silly. Scare quoting is often done when an expert is caching out issues for laymen, like when I teach novice logic students I'd say something like:
Given a formal language and a valid rule set for manipulating those symbols, a proof of a proposition, P, in that language using that rule set is in essence a 'guarantee' that proposition P is true. So lets explore what I mean by this 'guarantee'....
You are most decidedly not an expert and we are most certainly not novices. So Stop scare quoting terms at us. Do you understand what it sounds like to hear someone trying to down-talk people who obviously know more on the topic at hand than them?
I think you basically don't know what technical terms to substitute for the scare quoted terms- so you scare quote to make-believe that you do.
