I had to go and mention Chinook winds!

Now we've 70 mph gusts blowing snow into ground blizzards. Highway 93, which runs at the base of the mountains north of Golden is closed. This is a really bad road when there are ground blizzard conditions. It becomes impossible to see anything below the hood of your car, which makes it hard to see where the road is, the snow gets packed into ice, and it's really quite dangerous.

More snow and single digit temps on thursday.
