re: Open voting
There is a reason for secret voting and that is what this bill is against. With the passing of this bill, union representatives will know who voted not to unionize and then they can intimidate and/or harass that person to changing his mind and there are no safeguards for cheating like the current National Labor Relations Board program.
With unions on the decline at 12% one can understand why they need this bill to pass, but I don’t see the problem with the current rights of employees to unionize. With the current situation there is nothing that I know of to stop workers who vote by a majority to unionize.
What’s next, ban secret voting across the nation for elections?
