We want to help. We don’t have enough resources to help everyone, so we concentrate on families. These are couples with kids living on the streets. If they have a drug problem, we get them drug rehab. No cherry picking. We go find them and keep finding them until our resources are strained. We get them a place to live, help them get a job so they can support themselves and turn them loose. Then we find another family to fill their spot.
And they can always come back to us for support.
But we want them to stay drug free and to help us help them. And they do.
And like I said, other churches help others. Some help homeless kids. Some help elderly. Some help anyone. It just depends on the church.
