Oh, and we have about 300 members. We help as many as we can.
Some people get through the program in a few months. Some take a year or two.
Katrina also strained our resources. We help many Katrina evacuees. No one asked us to and we did it out of our own pockets. I personally donated a couple of thousand dollars worth of baby items. We were going to sell them, cause we needed the money at the time, but we figured those people needed it more than us. We also donated money and time to those folks. And the government had nothing to do with it.
So we do care. Yes, us evil, greedy conservatives to care about the poor, homekess and unfortunate, and we do help them out of our own pockets.
