A looong time ago, on MSNBC's Space Board, I remember a poster whose first initial was S and last initial was F, irl, and who was rabidly atheist and more on the rightist end of the political spectrum. He was, however, not from North America, and though he could have moved to North America, I doubt he did. Also, his spelling would have reflected more British spelling, that is, "colour" rather than "color".
If this is the same man, he has become crass and considerably more combative than the person I knew, though he was always somewhat combative.
I have one other idea, a Canadian, but that seems even less likely.
