The Space Forum

Being from the so called "Axis of Weasel", I wasn't unhappy to see some of the conservatives leave the HZ.
After 9/11, Flame had been left untouched for months...even though CE could turn quite nasty. But it's in Flame that the most interesting threads can be found. There's some psychology there.
Luckily there's at least Space and all the interesting things HTML can make possible!

One friday night , I was chatting with Delbert Crawford and somehow we knew about members MSN or AIM addresses and several of us linked chatting. I went to sleep and on saturday morning, turned my PC on and saw Mary Anne was still online, so we concluded that global chatting while the Earth rotated.

Another time, Del and I were looking at the Moon and Saturn at the same time (there was an occultation of Saturn by the Moon that evening and for me it was 01:00 AM while for Del it was 04:00 PM (California)...and Del saw Saturn to the left of the Moon while I saw it to the right...but we're 10,000 km apart while the Moon has a diameter of 3,600 km.

When Mir went down, it was a memorable morning too!
Or when I saw the Shuttle (and the orange tank) pass here at high speed, just 19 minutes after liftoff.

And when Nick posted the very first Endurance picture (a crater visited by the robot Opportunity on Mars), it was very exciting (I got his message on a saturday morning and shared it with many friends in Europe) and suddenly HZ also became more notorious as we got the participation of Jim Oberg!
