But it is.

In "Atlas Shrugged," the fall of civilization was symbolized by the lights of New York going out. Prior to that in the book, a town lit by candlelight was considered a thing of horror.

Still, like the colored ribbons, this is mostly about making people feel righteous with little actual effort, so I suppose it's nothing to get exercised about.

Don't you see...the nihilists have taken the James Taggart/Betram Scudder "social conscience" approach one step further. Now, they have sold people on the idea that darkness and retrogression is actually a good thing and they have people looking forward to moving behind. Willfully turning out the lights on America.

These groups are no accident. Just like the anti-Iraq war propaganda was no accident. They are neatly funded and prompted by agitators working against America and American progress.

I'm going to be lighting every 200 watt incandescent bulb in my house while vacuuming, dishwashing, laundering and using the hair dryer all during the same hour. My small gesture for Nikola Tesla who died nearly penniless working his whole life to bring electrification - CIVILIZATION - to the savages.

Dagny could see where this one is leading. The day when like a 3rd world country the power companies shut down the power for hours at a time - only then the propagandists will have convinced the mindless sheep it's "good" to live in such a manner.

The western nihilists want a blanket and a match. The anti-western looters want to give it to them.

This is just an example of some westerners grabbing the match.

It's not a pretty sight at all.

It's horrifying.
