Their approach would be that the bible is not the word of God but a story written by men. IMO negating religion isn't any more the job of ours schools than promoting it is.

Do we really need to involve kids in highly controversial subjects in high school? If they need an elective, stick with Home-Economics or AutoShop or Art. Why subject them to what really are the beliefs and battles of divided adults?
