You've accused me of something I never said.
In fact, I've just written a mini essay on the sophistication of Bronze Age culture, whose literature is still of great value to us today. What I said is that there is nothing of scientific value or interest to us in those writings. The Bronze Age had its technolgies, they could mine and smelt copper and tin and forge bronze implements, and they were excellent engineers, weavers, potters, craftsmen, farmers and architects, given the primitive state of their scientific knowledge. But they were still scientific primitives--not because they were simpletons, they just didn't have the benefit of our millennia of experience.
That is an excuse you can't claim.
