You really think you owe society for VA benefits?

Lee — 5/13/2009 2:43:34 AM (archived)

It's the other way around. Those benefits were paid because society owed your father. He put his life on the line, and the VA was paying him for services rendered. Our society is great because of the achievements of the individual, not the other way around. IMO, this concept is the biggest difference between conservative and liberal ideology.
