When you hold inflexible positions, regard compromise as a weakness and regard understanding the other guy's position as unnecessary you've painted yourself into the "crazier than rabid bat shit" corner.
First of all, you seem to have no idea what "compromise" actually means. Hint: It doesn't mean "abandoning one's principles while the other side keeps theirs."
Second, you seem to define "understanding the other guy's position" as "doing what the other guy wants."
You really don't think I know what Pelosi and other Democratic leaders stand for? What if I do, and I don't want to live in that kind of world?
I've been studying this kind of thing for thirty years, Bowser. "Understanding" isn't a problem.
