I don't know. There must be a reason Obama had to run away from his roots (with the help of an enthusiastic press) to win the election. He ran as a moderate, a "uniter," a tax-cutter, and someone who would be "bipartisan."
In fact, have you ever see a Democrat run on their real "progressive" agenda? Other than places like San Francisco?
Considering our entertainment culture and academic system are solidly leftist, it's a miracle our country isn't already packed with malleable idiots waiting for the State to take care of them.
