How can an invention be a basic right?

Healthcare is an invention. Medicine advances by discovery and innovation. There's nothing inherrent about it. If being healthy is a civil right, then has everyone who's died of a disease had their civil rights violated? Are we second class citizens because people in the future will have a cure for cancer, while those of us alive today are forced to endure it and die from it? Should timeism dictate which of us have access to medicine and treatments?

The notion that healthcare is a civil right is silly.
