Government control is socialism. If you wanted to be technically accurate, it's fascism, but few people I talk to are sophisticated enough to use that term properly.

Control, Buck. Control. "Ownership" is a fig leaf. Unless you let that finally seep in, you can't discuss this sensibly. That you used the dairy industry as an example proves you are miles away from the real issue.

This country is moving toward socialism and/or fascism. A country where the "private sector" can do nothing at all without government permission, and the government can pretty much do any damn thing it likes if enough of the leaders are on board.

I want it to stop moving in that direction, and start moving the other way. People like you, on the other hand, cheer every new intrusion into our lives.

Your idea of where socialism begins is like saying there's no racism in a country unless slavery is legal.
