Bush did communicate it specifically. It was in his 2005 State of the Union speech. He did a goddam nationwide tour on the subject that spring.
The people pushing socialism in Washington are socialists, Eri. The people in that YouTube Buck posted are socialists. Bernie Sanders actually identifies himself as one, and proudly, but there are many Democrats whose beliefs are exactly the same as those of Bernie Sanders. One of them is president. People who believe that all things should be controlled by the State. You can call them socialists, statists, collectivists, or fershimellists for all I care. They are what they are, and I know what they want.
It's the Democratic Party that can't communicate what they really believe. That has to pretend to be "centrist." When they drop the facade, like they did after they got all the power in 2008, you get the 2010 election.
So tell me, if you don't want socialism, why the hell do you keep supporting it at every turn? Controls over our lives at the most miniscule levels, more government programs, more government takeovers of private systems, our choices reduced every year?
Have I ever come up with ONE example of government overreach here where you agreed with me that it was a step too far? Or did you defend it instead?
If you're not a socialist, when do you start opposing socialism?
