I put the entire list of non-Federal options for caring for such people, and you ignored it. It has to be the Almighty Federal Government, or nothing? Why?
Think for a minute. What is the Federal government, spending hundreds of billions already on social spending every year, doing for that guy down the street right now? If he's not smart enough to handle his own money anyway, then who's going to handle his Social Security checks for him?
Will making all the rest of us property of the State fix his situation? How?
