I'd need the week off first, and to buy a case of Maalox and a box of straws, but it could be very educational.
First on my "to do" list:
Develop a list of hot-item talking points from the extreme end of the political spectrum. In my case, the left. Find eloquent exponents of these views and post links to their articles 80 times a day.
Second:
Make sure I read from neo-Nazi and Klan sites, and right-wing militia sites (if any), so I can fluently quote their views as representative of the opposition's mainstream ideology.
Third:
Practice calling people "useful idiots" followed by "present company excepted". This clever ploy allows one to insult a whole group but attempt to divert the ire of individual members of that group through flattery: "You're not as profoundly stupid as your friends -- you're just a little stupid."
Fourth:
Make frequent use of generalizations and hyperbole, declare them true, and state that, if no one can prove them false, they are perforce true without my having to present precise documentary evidence in their support.
Five:
Express outrage that my opponents have the nerve to be insulted and tell them to get over it.
Six:
Make frequent use of violent analogies.
Seven:
Lose the empathy.
