Don't let em bug ya' Tom

You don't want to engage in class warfare. As soon as we start comparing financial statements or who has singlehandedly financed the rebuilding of the Pentagon with their dues to the IRS, we lose the edge of what it's all about.

Capitalism has to be just as dear to the street vendor, entrepreneur or CEO. Each must understand that there survival does not depend upon handouts or reduction of competition, but rather upon the fluid movement of capital through a cycle.

Minimum wage increases for non-skilled workers simply lessen the funds for skilled workers as employers make do with higher turnover part-time employees.

Minimum wage increases HARM the work force, making full-time jobs with insurance, healthcare, etc. hard to obtain. It seems counter-intuitive only if one doesn't understand that employers have limited capital to pay employees. It is not a gift to the working people - quite the contrary, it insures more people will stay in the low end of the work force.

Tax increases on the rich do exactly the same thing - take money out of the marketplace and subsequently out of others reach as well as the evil rich person.

I know very few people who sleep on mattresses full of money. The rich have their money in banks, usually several banks - those banks lend that money out to people who need it. The whole cycle of prosperity is funded in large part by people who have incomes in excess of their daily needs.

It seems so easy if one has a one-dimensional, theoretical, view of the economy.

Flowing capital is the heart of capitalism.
