Thanks...one Bowser was enough.

The problem with your analogy is that the radical Left is riding high in the mainstream of our current culture. They don't run the show...not yet...but they've been getting close. The extreme right is not running the show, despite all the complaining the Left does about them. Unless you're so far left that you think someone like Bush or Gingrich are on the extreme right. Is there a formal fundamentalist Christian caucus in Congress? How many professors at Harvard, Yale, and other major colleges teach creationism?

There are a lot more Marxist socialists in positions of power and influence in America than there are Nazis, even granting your incorrect premise that Nazis are an extreme form of conservatism. How many protest marches have been organized by Nazis or Klansmen lately?

Can you name a single person in public life who is a professed Nazi? Or a practicing Klansman*? If all the Marxists in America were confined to dank basements with only their web sites for company like the Nazis and racist lunatics are, I'd be a lot happier.

When people who advocate totalitarian Marxist principles on school campuses, newspapers, and elsewhere are treated exactly the same as people who advocated Nazi principles would be, I would concede your point as far as balance goes.

I don't expect leftists to believe any of this. Most think that their socialist political beliefs are right in the moderate center, with the conservative extremists stretching off to the right. To the left lies......the mental equivalent of the retina's blind spot. A political spectrum with only one side.

*There are a couple of former Klansmen in public life, but this is forgiven. If you're a Democrat, that is.
