Good Points but

Life existing on Mars does not mean Levin discovered it. It is quite possible for Levin's instrument to have given a false positive on a sterile surface sample while Beagle 2 finds life deeper underground. The only way to verify Levin is to do what he has suggested and repeat the LR experiment with different racemic mixtures of amino-acids in the same area. If only one form is metabolized Levin would be validated and I would certainly agree he was under those circumstances.
