It is interesting how the history of Nazism has been shaded to be one of white supremacy. Not to deny that white supremacy was Hitler's calling card within Germany, but that message really didn't travel all that well outside of Germany and a few neighboring states.
We didn't fight the Nazi's because we disliked their views on genetics, yet that’s now considered their greatest evil and why the Nazi's "Had to be stopped".
But that's not the True history is it? We didn't fight the Germans because they hated Jews, gays, and the retarded.
I don't recall FDR announcing to the nation that we were about to take on a war against racist regimes: Or Churchill asking Britons to stand up in the face of white supremacy.
Neither leader did that, yet they both made brilliant speeches against TOTALITARIANISM and having courage to defeat the forces of EVIL that would deprive individuals of their LIBERTY.
Isn’t it amazing that in just 50 years historical revisionism has repainted the battle as something that has more to do with race relations than the threats, as they truly existed?
Now today people are calling Bush "Hitler" while ignoring that Sadam is the ruthless leader of a Totalitarian regime that routinely deprives people of Life and Liberty. These people are more or less saying that if you take away Hitler's views toward Jews, that Hitler was really a stand-up fellow, and certainly not someone we should have attacked with military force.
Interesting how quickly people forget what's truely worth fighting for... But its not surprising when you consider that most Americans have been made to believe that the Civil War had little or nothing to do with slavery. (As if a few hundred thousand home schooled Americans were cognizant enough to fight and die for the vague cause of "States rights")
