"... Instead, words like ""tyrannical", "dangerous" or especially "ruthless" are used.
Mauvais and méchant were meant for playgrounds , between chidren playing police and thieves."
A movie director could be called "tyrannical"; A fashion designer "ruthless"; and a sharpen stick is "dangerous". When the word "evil" is used you are a implying something different. It's possible to be evil without being ""tyrannical", "dangerous" or especially "ruthless"". Evil can be quiet; it can be polite and likeable; evil can be deliberate; or can be because of neglect. The reason the word "evil" is not liked is because it implies that any person can have some effect on the world- and in the "world of nihilism" this is considered "delusional", "silly" and/or childish.
