With the current state of HTML expertise, it is very common for italics and bolds to continue past a quote. I promise never to doubt your HTML again.

On the other hand, if you stand by the quote then why are we quibbling about whether you said it?

No, it just shows that the original author's point is correct. Only kooks like the Skinheads and neo-Nazis try to defend the horrors of Nazi ideology. The sad fact that is that there are still quite a few people who'll defend the equally terrible and destructive ideology of communism and Marxism. That says more about their world view than my own.
