As for the US destroying the UN, NATO, and the EU, would that we could. If by destroying the UN, you mean actually holding them accountable for their resolutions, then perhaps we are guilty. After all, it must be our fault that Iraq has violated 17 UNSC resolutions and we're vulgar enough to believe that means something.

The US destroying NATO? How do you figure that when it was Belgium, France, and Germany that held up support for a member nation? How is it our fault that you refused to honor the NATO charter?

The EU? Why do you think we give a damn about a screwed up bureaucratic nightmare like the EU? The EU, by crippling your own economies with massive bureaucratic stupidity, just serves to eliminate the competition. Why would we want to stop you from cutting your own throats?

Old European countries like France and Germany want to dictate to all other European nations. It must've been a terribly rude shock when they decided not to be lapdogs to you. Chirac did more to set back the EU in one evening than the US could ever dream of doing.

In the end, do you honestly think that we should subordinate ourselves to a proven corrupt and ineffective organization like the UN or the EU? If so, then you're sadly out of touch with reality. Just because Europe as a whole is too weak militarily to take care of themselves, it doesn't mean that we're going to cripple ourselves, too.

If you want to be taken seriously in these matters, perhaps you need to become stronger. Those thousands of troops who deployed from NATO bases - there's a good chance they won't be coming back when they're done in Iraq. Rumsfeld is seriously talking about radically cutting the size of our deployment in Europe. Articles I've read suggest that the US will remove our dependents from most bases and send a small number of soldiers on 6 month rotations. That will cut the number of US military personnel and dependents in Europe by as much as 75%, and you have the Axis of Weasels to thank. So what if it takes many billion dollars a year out of your already sagging economies. Unlike our European predecessors, when we aren't wanted somewhere, we leave.
