Guess again

Think it can't happen in sophisticated Old Europe? Think again. Even the moderate sounding IslamInfo.co.uk has this article On the "Islamic Republic of Britain

The fact is that the idea of an Islamic state has a basis in truth. Islam is not just a religion, but a complete system of life based on the revelation and guidance from the Almighty. As well as spiritual and personal guidance, its legislation includes the social, financial and political spheres and even lays down laws about how to fight justly. Muslims believe that humans must follow God's laws in every aspect of life, including in the running of the state. As God's representatives on earth, we must rule according to His guidance and establish His will, as has been the practice since mankind was created. The Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace) established Islamic rule fourteen centuries ago, and it continued in one way or another until 1924. Since then, many groups have been striving to re-establish the Islamic order.

This struggle to establish Islamic Law takes many different forms around the world. In some countries, with majority Muslim populations, the struggle is to reform the governments of the countries and bring them into line with the laws laid down in the Qur'an and other authentic sources. Where Muslims are being oppressed, physical struggle may well be necessary, but that is usually more for the purpose of defending the Muslims' rights than for establishing God's law. In countries like Britain, where Muslims are in a minority but enjoy freedom of religion and of expression, our efforts should go into reforming public opinion and training people to become righteous ambassadors of Islam. The aim is that one day, after preparation has been done to build Muslim individuals, families and communities, that even Britain will become a land that is ruled according to God's will.

Now, if the moderates are saying they want Islamic law for Britain, imagine what the extremists want.
