I didn't think you were defining "interest group"...

...so narrowly as to be analogous to political party before. Not sure I know what you mean, any more. How about a clear example of how an interest group is formed, how you join, can you join more than one, how you make sure that hopefuls from all of them win their percentage of seats, etc.

Does Tom have to decide whether to vote Libertarian, or pro-space? If so, wouldn't he hold his nose and vote straight Libertarian? Or straight Republican since it gave more of his views some power rather than all of his views little power?
