News reports have it that Brown will try out the lame 'Not Me!' excuse thats been circulating around the right-wing blgs and here as of late: that FEMA should not/could not have known about the NOLA convention center because it "Was not a refuge site registered with the Federal Authorities" (neither, it appears, was the superdome, BTW, but somehow they figured that one out without 6 months notice and forms faxed in triplicate).
Now, with moving trucks being dispatched by the various NOLA authorites to move thousands of people there before the storm, With Radio-stations broadcasting it as an evacuation and storm refuge site, with thousands of people not only knowing about it but showing up there (I'm assuming spontaneous generation will not be floated)- I wonder how this excuse will fly. Probably like the plucked chicken it is- but if enough of the right wing ape it and repeat it enough, it might give it enough lipstick to pass muster with at least some americans.
