Thanks, and I don't care what the 'meme' is- I'm asking YOU

Thanks for pointing out that I let the verbiage get over-the top. I'll gladly retract that. I'm sure they didn't truck THOUSANDS there- but they WERE trucking oving vans full of people there, and my data certainly supports that.

But to the point:

So what if 'everyone' didn't know via the mass media- lets set that aside for a moment (even though there was substantial news coverage prior to the 1st).

What I am asking you is if local authorites are trucking people there. If THOUSANDS of people knew to go there. What excuses FEMA for not knowing about it for days?

" So we've fallen back on the "they should have known anyway" meme."

This is frustrating- I have not fallen back on anything. Since the 23rd (GO BACK AND LOOK!) I have argued the same point:
1) There was media coverage
2) That even if there wasn't FEMA shouldn't NEED A MEDIA FIRESTORM to find out the basic situation on the ground- its their job.

Beyond that, and later:
3) Regardless if it was 'registered' with FEMA in advance, all the local authorities knew about it. There was National Guard there, there were local authorities trucking people there, there were thousands of people fleeing there.

I resent the holy hell out of your accusation that I have somehow at some point changed my tune- I have not. The record of our conversation is clear and unambiguous and preserved plainly here on this site.
