Explain this please
If they aren't price gouging how come Exxon Mobil was the best performing company in the USA last year?
(Silence)
Let's not let our conservative principles ignore monopolistic and unethical business practices just because we support big business.
Wal-mart uses illegals and illegally prices many items under MSR (minimum retail) in select stores to generate patronage as it tries to sink competition, then raises the prices after said competition is out of business. They are a slimy company from the top to the bottom.
Oil companies have generated maps where they have been most successful in gouging consumers and where consumption drops haven't occurred. So they know where they can price-gouge most successfully (San Diego, LA, etcetera) and where it impacts consumption.
Exxon-Mobil, Chevron and Unocal are the Philip Morris, RJ Reynolds of backroom price fixing and deals.
These companies are corrupt to the rafters and to pretend that it's just anti-oil environmentalists have caused the price gouging is a farce.
