However, you would have been at home in Germany in the '30s, parroting the government line, believing anyone who didn't agree with the government was anti-German.

Dictators rely on folks just like you. Have to have 'em, folks who will believe anything, and will give away their civil liberties to feel just a bit more secure.
Someone said that patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel. For you, and yer fellow on these boards, it's the first.
While real patriots would like to see their country get out of the killing, torturing, maiming business.
