Personal benefit

Fox — 6/28/2006 12:22:41 AM (archived)

Try also: "Gates Foundation" + libraries

When I lived on the wrong side of the Digital Divide, a Gates Fdn. gift to my local library kept me online. Multiply that benefit alone by hundreds or thousands of folks who can't yet afford computer and ISP -- especially the kids whose teachers' assignments assume everybody has a computer.

Need more? Ask Mary Anne, who's on one of those bridges across the Divide. Couldn't be possible without Bill and Melinda.
