I'm in favor of building more nuclear power plants starting yesterday, and am constantly tracking the progress of alternative energy sources.
This would be true even if there were no global warming at all. Right now we depend too much on an resource that is largely located in areas run by lunatics, and one that is useful for too many things other than burning. Use any plastic lately?
Somehow, a lot of global warming activists seem to be more interested in twisting the knife in the Capitalist Pig than they are in finding workable answers. You can usually tell where they're coming from by finding out what their "solutions" are. Look for proposals that attack the same aspects of industrial progress and modern living that they were attacking enthusiastically long before anyone had ever heard of global warming. These people would have hated the Hummer if there were no climate issues at all.
Note that many global warming proponents on this board support nuclear power. A good sign.
