re: Back up

I don't have a lot of confidence in the measuring of China total CO2.
"However, burning coal produces about 9 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide each year which is released to the atmosphere, about 70% of this being from power generation. Other estimates put carbon dioxide emissions from power generation at one third of the world total of over 25 billion tonnes of CO2 emissions."

If you only allow coal consumption producing twice it's weight in CO2 [and more than this]:

Then coal alone accounts for almost all China's emission. Certainly China make concrete which is another CO2 emission source, and certainly Chinese keep their houses warm with something other than coal. And though China's oil production is lower than US it is not insignificant:
"China will see an increasing dependency on crude oil imports, with the amount of crude oil imported rising from 31 percent in 2002 to 50 percent four years later in 2007, according to official research released in Beijing Thursday.

Research by China's Ministry of Communications on marine oil transportation predicted that the country would import 100 million tons of crude oil in 2005, 150 million tons in 2010 and in 2020 the number would soar to 250 to 300 million.

China would become the world's second biggest oil consumer following the Unitsed State."

So that's around another 1 billion tonnes of CO2 in regard to oil use.

And since we on the subject of accounting. Does anyone know how much CO2 humans produce in one day? I've seen a number stating 1 kg of CO2 per day- so if this close that means about 1/3 tonne per year- and with 6 billion people that's 2 billion tonnes per year- just for humans breathing. What about cows breathing in India- I think [swag] there something like a cow per Indian [or something crazy like that]. If a cow produce say a ton of CO2 per year [bigger creature than human], you could be close a billions tonnes of CO2 just for the ruddy cows in India.
But this I guess is ignored because domesticated animal are natural and dipshits burning dung or firewood in some hut out in middle nowhere would also be considered "natural". Or least not part of any easy system of accounting.
