Hmm.....
The IDEA is noble, freeing people from oppressors, but is it OUR job?
Invading a sovereign country is against international law.
Remember, Bush had us all cowering in the corner thinking we HAD to go in and get those WMD's. Against my better judgement, I thought they actually knew something I didn't. Turns out, they knew LESS.

You can't save an oppressed people by dropping 500 lb. bombs on them, firebombing their cities, having lock-downs and shoot-outs in the local population, by taking out their infrastructure, robbing their banks, stealing their oil and raping their children. Oh, I forgot.
And by torturing them.

Why you refuse to see this is beyond me.

Well, that was the general idea after there were no WMD's.....go to Plan B. But poor planning made it impossible with the three different cultural factions that had been kept under control by Sadam Hussein.
Besides fighting us, they are fighting each other as the country sinks into civil war.
There are over 100,000 dead there.
We have thousands of young American soldiers who haven't come home in one piece, if at all. And this war has cost us our noble standing in the world AND a half trillion dollars better spent here AT HOME, on OUR infrastrucre, on OUR education, on OUR health programs.

That's what we're complaining about. We're going down the same road.
