I hear ya...but...

aren't you tired of the guerrilla style attacks made here? Alcarays the master of this:

Alcaray: Republicans are bad (n/t)
SDAI-Tech1: What? Why?
__Alcaray: Didn't you hear me...bad. (n/t)
____ Lindy: I agree totally and they ship drugs in CIA planes from timbuktoo too!
____ Bowser: Well black and white thinking again. No empathy. (n/t)

That's not debate that's the snippet-attack syndrome.

Then we have the endless study/poll fling-fest:

Laurie S. : NEW STUDY more babies born during Bush era have no hearts!
__ Bowser: And you're surprised? Conservative evolution. Arf. (n/t)
__ Don : Bush is an embarassment to this nation.
__ER: It's possible. But I don't post on political threads. (unless it suits me)

Eric: More people polled believe Hitler more honest than Bush!
_ SDF: Not surprised at all. (n/t)
_ Tom: All online polls are crap
__ Lindy: You say that but here's a poll on MSNBC that says "do you think our online polls, stories and reporters are crap? NO 99% YES 1%
___ Tom: All online polls are crap.
____ Robert: maybe so, but it sure seems like an indicator.
_ Lindy: You said it buster. I wouldn't let my kids watch a Bush speech!
__ Alcaray: Bush is da bomb-er man (n/t)
_ Don: Bush is an embarassment to this nation. Where's the impeachment? (n/t)

It's hard to converse that way. At least it is for me. I used the "rumble" metaphor to try and bring them out a little bit more instead of the soundbite/mantra/guerrilla-terrorist type posts and responses I've been seeing.

Sure this place is mild in comparison to the full on BDS epidemic (far more dangerous and prevalent than Bird-Flu or West Nile Virus) we're experiencing on the web.

Still it would be nice to see some good ol' fashioned deep HZ debate at this point. Do you realize I have YET to hear one solution to the terrorist problem other than "Bush made it worse by invading Iraq!"

And as far as I can tell their solution to Iraq is put Saddam the benevolent back in power.

And what their position re: Iran?

Silence.

I'd prefer a rumble to the status quo.
