This has been one wild, soul baring thread.
Having been wounded in love several times, I went on a man-sabbatical as I often do....to put things in perspective.

I started dating an old friend that I thought could be a partner, yet because of what I'd be through and his certainty of being able to please me, we continued dating for a year before I decided to embark on the intimacy.
I fell madly in love with him and after several months approached him about the fidelity issue because my heart was already his. He told me straight up "I am not a player" and I believed him. And he was the worst of them and caused me great pain and it didn't take long for him to wander. We stayed together off and on for over a decade, fighting life as it came to us.

I see all men through his eyes now and it is very hard for me to trust anyone anymore.
That's why I am still single.
