They haven't yet figured out the reason they flee Mexico is because it is filled with corrupt mexican police, folks whose job is kidnapping mexican businessmen and their families, corrupt government and no jobs worth diddly.

When California is conquered and becomes "Aztlan" - it will just be another cesspool like Mexico. They will then just have another place to flee from. Eventually they will take over the whole US with their birthrate, and the million a year illegal current flow - will likely surge to five million a year. What then?

When the whole US is mexicanized and the government becomes corrupted as it is in mexico, and people are kidnapped from their businesses all over the US and the economy does an imitation of the ti-d-bowl man caught in a blue flushing whirlpool - what then?

Then Aztlan can replace America and the Mexicans or Aztlans will have to flee into Canada for jobs. They wont like the cold much, but there it is.

Then in 2095 when all of north America is over run and becomes like South America...what then?

Europe will have been overrun by the Turks and the rest of eastern europe and will be a poor ghetto everywhere - a filthy shadow of its past rich heritage.

North & South America will be Ghettoes...

Where do the survivors flee to?

Russia? China? These regions will be bogged down with hordes of humanity, but they may likely reclaim the planetary throne for a hundred years or two because they will not tolerate the others or any immigration whatsoever. They would almost assuredly win a sneak attack war with Aztlan, leaving north and south America an irradiated wasteland.

Perhaps colonies in Greenland will become harsh outposts for developing and exploiting new bubblie cities or some such endeavor.

They will likely keep the hordes out by placing themselves as inaccessible as possible with super technologies. Sure as heck no one will simply walk to their haven.

The hordes will destroy themselves as their numbers wont support food or anything else and the global literacy will drop like an anvil. Wars, death everywhere. The stupid-stick will have tapped almost everyone on the planet.

It will be a very, very dark era.

After global destruction the remnants will start again - and perhaps these subterranean or bubble cities will send factions out to cleanse the environment of radiation, repopulate the desolate wastes, and start from scratch again with the aid of technology and wisdom.

Ironically, American imperialism - which as yet doesn't really exist - is almost the planet's only true hope. Mexico should be begging us to take over their nation! Otherwise they will die out completely after their own foolish conquest. The Chinese wouldn't blink an eye at the loss of a whole race of people and they are far enough away that any radiation would simply give them slightly more space than they had before by thinning out the weakest of their populations.

India will undoubtedly defeat Pakistan after a nuclear war - the Indian hordes will simply swarm over the areas wiping out the last of the surviving Pakistanis.

Eventually, China would be dealing with India and a detente would develop for fifty or sixty years or so. India would likely nuke Iran, Iraq and any other islamic states after Pakistan if they in any way threaten India.

Israel will be long gone and the remaining jews will again wander - as will many others seeking the equivalent of the glory of what was America.

Japan will be overpowered by China as will most of the far east.

China or Russia might already repopulate north America - probably the Chinese would stake a claim first. Aztlan would be gone and buried and New China would likely emerge.

It's all really, really sad. And while not inevitable - I don't give good odds for the planet over a hundred years.

As for space exploration - maybe some bold folks or nation will see a future or survival of their race and peoples in colonies off-world. However the resources will dwindle and technological progress will likely stagnate.

Or everything may work out A-OK and be peachy-keen!
