But it will lead to unintended consequences...Afterall, if a certain Iraqi Presedent wants to design a master race of people with his "desired" features who's really to stop him...

The problem with euginics is that if it is successful in eliminating human "flaws", then eventually the offspring will cease to be human at all: Human evolution will be corrupted, turning our decendants into something that is far from human.
