I just saw past it

The argument being made against eugenics in the movie was flimsy at best. It was based on an emotional as opposed to a scientific argument. How can they say that courage and drive would be weeded out? It was nothing more than an argument for the "soul". A classic story of the "under dog". They were trying to say that we are more than the sum of our parts, but what proof do they have?
